05Electives for grades 10-12Percentage of non-Japanese faculty members [FY2025]1 in 7 faculty members at Dalton come from countries around the world, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., New Zealand, and Uganda. Most of the foreign faculty members are employed full-time, so are readily available to consult and advise outside of class.Through the Dalton Plan, students will develop the ability to think and make choices on their own, to develop interests, and to focus and sustain themselves.Number of students per teacher [FY2025]A teacher to student ratio of just 6.4, compared to the average ratio in Tokyo junior high schools of 14.6, ensures that faculty members are available to work with students one-on-one and in small groups, taking into account each student’s individual learning style and maximizing student support.Types of thematic labs offered in FY2024Students are free to choose from a number of theme labs to deepen their interests. It’s where exploration and collaboration thrive.
